After last week' s workshop in La Casa Encendida, Dmitry Gelfand and Eveina Domnitch presented their performance Sonolevitation, where through the use of a magnetic field and slivers of gold of various formats, they created an real-time augmented audiovisual environment. The continuous spinning of the slivers of gold created a high pitch sound, that personally made me feel like I was about to enter an alternate dimension. The visual shapes of the slivers were stunning. I never thought that a small square piece of gold could transform into every geometric shape I could imagine.
